How Do You Do That?

Art, Photography & Writing
Rosy Outlook, taken during a private abstract photography workshop on 31 March 2019. For more information see my photo tours. They can be customized for abstract photography.
When abstract and street photography merge, it’s when it is no longer easy to separate my work in one or the other genre.
Time Was, February 2019 is included in my Singles series.
Party Dress, June 2018 in the Singles series.
As well as being a lens-based artist, I am also a street photographer. At times the two genres meet. Dreaming in Red is a photo that I took on a photo tour for abstract photography.
When I can steal time from my day job as a street photographer and tour guide, I work on my lens-based art or abstract photography. In a different life I might’ve been a painter. I do also provide individual workshops for abstract photography as well.
What Remains is a series of photos that I took in the spring of 2017.
Untitled (what remains outtake), early 2017. – Somehow I managed to neglect this photo. It was originally from a series titled ‘what remains’. However, it didn’t really fit with the others. So I held it back. My photo art is highly influenced by @Gerhard.Richter He paints paintings that look like photos and I make photos that look like paintings when I have succeeded. Blurring the lines is part of my style.
At Tate Modern is a series of 12 intentional camera movement photos that I did while in London at the beginning of this year. If you are interested in learning abstract photography techniques I do photo tours in New York City where we can work on them.
